Tumblr has been Yahoo!'d
169,000... the number of people who petitioned that Tumblr not join the "Marrisa Mayer Era" in Yahoo!'s dark history. Unfortunately for the masses Tumblr sold it's soul to Yahoo! for a mere $1.1 Billion Dollars, Tumblr's 26 Year Old CEO (David Karp) probably figured that he was making the right decision (that's a seemingly large number of Benjamins)... However what he failed to realize is the fact that anything associated with Yahoo! is considered to be inferior and outdated.
Google currently has "Blogger" and since Mayer (Yahoo! CEO) thinks that Yahoo! can rise from the ashes of Mediocrity, she naturally thought that by getting Tumblr, she could compete with the big boys. SHE WAS WRONG! Wordpress (on average) imports anywhere from 400 to 600 tumblr posts per hour, on Sunday when news of the buy out spread.... that number SKYROCKETED to over 72,000 tumblr posts per hour... leading me to believe that everyone is going to be jumping ship... AND WHY IS THAT?
BECAUSE YAHOO! SUCKS! Marrisa Mayer probably won't last A YEAR as the CEO... Newsflash Mayer if you wanted to do big things, you should have probably went to Facebook, or Twitter, or Google, or any other company that is not designed for Software Engineers to commit career suicide!
How do you folks feel about the acquisition? Will this be the death of Tumblr?

Nate Diaz Fined $20k and Suspended for 3 Months OVER A TWEET!
What is a tweet? It's a quick status report, that is shorter than 140 characters, most tweets are forgotten less than a second after being read. But in Nate Diaz's case, one tweet with a homophic slur against Brian Caraway (originally thought to be UFC President Dana White), will cost him $20k, and will put him out of work for three months.
Personally, I feel that this is WAY TOO HARSH of a punishment. First off, I understand the fact that the UFC wants their fighters to be good ambassadors to the sport, but let's not forget the fact that some of these guys aren't exactly charm school graduates... and that gives the sport a special element. Mixed Martial Arts only has so much room for the typical white-bread good guys who give the typical, "I think he's great, I just want to train hard to beat him" type of answers... you need to give the folks a VILLAIN... The Diaz Brother's are the perfect villains.
Now in terms of using Homophobic Slurs... I think that we are all on our own moral compass. He didn't disrespect anyone in the homosexual community, he disrespected a (Seemingly) Heterosexual Brian Caraway, who happens to have a SMOKING HOT GF (Meisha Tate). I've heard GAY DUDES call people who weren't gay, "Fags" before. I really don't think that this should result in getting $20k of your hard earned money taken away from you and not being able to work for 3 months.
I will stand by the fact that I think that Dana White is the best businessman of our time, but I really dislike all of the bullshit fines/suspensions lately. I'm not the biggest Ken Shamrock fan, but I think that he might be hitting the nose on the head with his statement below:

Ouch!
Vitor Belfort's Spin Kick Knockout from last night... BRUTAL. I wonder if this is going to bring back more techniques that are considered to be "Out-Dated".

Hot Chick Of The Day: Stephanie Gayle
Michelle Nicolini vs. McKenzie Dern= HOTTEST BJJ MATCH of all-time
First off, I respect these two women as amazing grapplers, who could both (more than likely) choke me out 40x in under a minute. But DEAR GOD.... THESE WOMEN ARE HOT! This is probably going to be the hottest match in BJJ History.

Nate Diaz Will Be Cut Or Fined Over A TWEET!
It feels only appropriate to discuss the recent events that have transpired, due to the fact there has been some new developments on the Pat Healy Suspension (since I last wrote about it). In short, Pat Healy was forced to surrender $130k in bonus money back to the UFC for popping on his test for Marijuana. A lot of people (including myself) think that it is complete bullshit. This includes UFC Lightweight Contender Nate Diaz who elegantly took a shot at Dana White!
I feel bad for pat Healy that they took a innocent mans money and I think the guy who took the money is the biggest Fag in the world ..Since then Dana White replied back on a popular Mixed Martial Arts Forum, stating that Nate Diaz will either be CUT or FINED for the Tweet.

MY OPINION- For how much shit Dana White (one of the best businessmen of all time) talks about fighters and other people... he should be able to take an insult every now and again, without fining or suspending someone. You can't under-pay your employees and expect them to think you're the greatest human being to ever walk the face of the earth.

We Salute "The Office"
Part of the fun about running a blog that really has no "niche" is the fact that I can write about whatever the hell I want to write about... So tonight I get to give a much deserved Salute to one of the best shows ever created (on the night that it ends after 9 amazing seasons) "The Office". It's a weird feeling for me, I've watched this show since 2005 (when I was a senior in High School), until now... where I'm at the stage in life where I am engaged and have a "real job".
