Ugh...

My running quote will forever be "Smile Your Alive", but I find myself with "Debbie Downer" moments. Tonight, just wasn't my night, I performed horribly in Jiu Jitsu (it happens), then on top of that some bad news just hit me... I was going to wait to tell this story until it had all blown over, but fuck it... I'm probably going to wind up getting fucked (in some way) either way... It's story time kids:

Here is a timeline for you so that you know the whole story leading up to the "incident".

#1- Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I lose my truck... bye bye, never to be seen again... this detail is a whole other story in itself, but I'll hold off on this one.

#2- Because this unforeseen circumstance hit me at the worst possible time (as they always do) and I didn't want to get stuck in a shitty loan, I bought a used car in Cash.

#3- I register the car, but I negotiate with my insurance lady for a better quote. For 6 days, I am driving without insurance (which is a downright retarded thing to do... in no way justifiable).

#4- I'm driving my car down the road after Jiu Jitsu, I'm not speeding, texting, or conducting in any illegal activity. I get pulled over due to the fact that I only had my back license plate on and not the front (I was missing some bolts, but had  it right in my passenger seat.) The cop pulls me over, sure enough, I get cited for not having insurance.

Side note here, I have never been in any type of trouble with the law (other then a few speeding tickets).

#5- I go into the court house to pay the citation, I'm given the choice to appear before an attorney to present my situation, but I figure since I was driving without insurance full well knowing that I was driving without insurance... I would eat the citation, I fucked up and figured that I would just pay the fine.... HOWEVER, I was not informed that by pleading guilty, I would automatically get my license suspended for 1 year (but it would be reinstated within that year if I provided an SR22 and got insured.)

#6- Two nights after my license gets suspended, I get a call from my mother in the middle of the night, needless to say she was a bit hysterical. She tells me that my little sister got pulled over past curfew and would be taken to juvenile hall if my mom didn't come pick her up. My little sister had taken the only vehicle in my mother's home... so I was forced to make a decision... let my little sister go to juvenile hall... or risk it and drop my mother off.... like a good son/brother or a dumbass (however you want to view the story), I reluctantly decide to drop off my mom with my little sister.

#7- I drop off my mom and quickly drive back towards my apartment (I'm stopped for less than 10 seconds, before pulling away.) Less then 1/4 of a mile down the road, I get pulled over by one of the cops, he asks me, "Do you know why I'm pulling you over?", I just respond respectfully with "Yes Sir." Long story short within three minutes I am in hand cuffs and in the back seat of a cop car thinking that I am going to be on my way to jail... but a guardian angel in the form of a Meridian Police Officer gets me out of the Cop Car... I don't get to jail that night, but I am written up with a Misdemeanor Citation for Driving Without Priviledges.

#8. I appear at court the day it tells me to on the ticket. I meet with the Prosecutor (who was surprisingly a kind/fair human being)... he told me that if I plead guilty he would knock down the charges to Driving with an Invalid License, which is a $150 fine and an Infraction... instead of fighting the ticket, I figured the punishment fit the crime and I decided to take the plea bargain...

#9. I have to drive from CA, back to Idaho on the 30th... but I was under the impression that if I submitted the paperwork needed that I would be done in court... I was wrong. So now I have to drive 1,000 miles (both ways) in the span of 3 days, appear for sentencing, and HOPE that my plea bargain stays.

I'm just depressed due to the fact that I have dedicated my life to staying out of trouble and because I decided to help out my family, I am going to get an infraction on my record and have to drive all the way down to appear in court. I thought that I had put that behind me... but now I have to go finish out the bullshit. As I write this I feel much better about the situation... I guess this blog isn't just for Hot Chicks :)
